Weekend Plans – Week 11

It’s the weekend!

Weekend Banner Colorful

Now that I’ve finished up Rush and Ripple (Yay!), my weekend goals have shifted, at least for the next couple weeks. I won’t start writing my next book until July, which gives me time to catch up on ALL the things I set aside so I could finish the books. The pre-orders haven’t listed everywhere yet (which means I don’t have the product links), but when they go live, I’ll need to update my websites and get a newsletter out (and I’ll post here on the blog, too). While this site is in pretty good shape, my main author website needs a lot of little updates and some updated graphics, so I’ll work on those. I’ve also got to update my social media accounts with new graphics, too. Then there’s all the life admin I need to take care of…does anyone else take days off from work just to catch up on errands? I find myself doing that every once in a while, because I just can’t seem to fit them all in before/after the day job.

Because I will be writing a new book in July (Seaside Valleria 4), I’ll also take some time to start musing about it. I won’t write anything yet, but just sorting through some of the ideas in my head before I put them down on paper can be really helpful. I already know which character this will focus on; once Rush is released and my readers have met all the characters, I’ll announce who will be featured in the other Seaside Valleria books. Once I get more admin-y stuff out of the way, I’ll be able to take time to focus on this. My editor will also get Seaside Valleria 3 back to me in July as well, so I’ll be working on edits for that book, too. It shouldn’t be too overwhelming – definitely not as overwhelming as May/June has been. I don’t know what I was thinking trying to finish up FOUR books at once (Permanently Princess, Rush, Ripple, and writing Seaside Valleria 3) while working the day job, but hopefully I won’t need to do that again in the future. Working on Seaside Valleria 3 & 4 at the same will be much easier compared to that.

What are you doing this weekend? Comment on this post and let me know (if you’re receiving the blog by email, just click “Read More” to navigate to the blog page to comment).
